Baby Room
Our baby room accomodates children from 6 months to walking, at which point they graduate to our Toddler Room.
Our baby room is designed to build special relationships and promote vital early years development and learning.
We aim to keep the children at the heart of everything we do, allowing us to support parents when they take the first steps into childcare with their little one.
Getting it right
With years of experience in working with and supporting parents at the beginning of their childcare journey, we understand the importance of getting it right!
We work hard to ensure parents and key workers have time together at the beginning and end of each day to ensure good communication is built.
We use our online learning journeys app, Famly, to share daily updates about children’s progress with photos, development observations and general feedback to keep parents in the loop.
Life in the Baby Room
-
Sensory play
We provide a range of sensory experiences to stimulate babies' developing senses.
From textured materials to soothing sounds and lights, each activity is designed to encourage exploration and promote cognitive growth.
-
Nutrition
We ensure your baby’s meals are healthy, nutritious, and tailored to their dietary needs.
Whether it’s weaning or bottle-feeding, our staff works with parents to provide a balanced menu that supports growth and development.
-
Routine & structure
Each baby receives personalised care to match their unique needs and routines.
Our dedicated staff ensures that feeding, naptimes, and playtimes align with what’s best for your baby’s comfort and development.
-
Sleep room
We understand the importance of quality sleep for babies’ development, which is why we have a dedicated sleep room equipped with comfortable cots.
The room is dimmed with blinds and curtains, allowing your little one to enjoy restful naps in a serene, quiet environment.
Each baby is monitored to ensure their comfort and safety during rest periods.
-
Room layout
Our Baby Room is thoughtfully arranged to encourage exploration and independence, with all resources and toys are placed at baby level.
The room is arranged to provide babies with plenty of space to move around freely and safely.
Cosy furnishings are used to protect their little knees as they crawl around.
-
Outdoor time
Fresh air and exploration are important, even for our littlest stars.
Babies in our care enjoy safe outdoor time, where they can observe nature, feel the breeze, and explore new sights, sounds, and textures.
They also get the opportunity to mix with older children, helping them develop communication skills.
Ofsted Feedback
“Staff focus on children's communication and language skills. They appreciate that looking at books and singing rhymes helps children learn to speak.”
“[Staff] work closely with the parent to tailor settling in visits to meet the different emotional needs of children.”
