Outdoor Spaces

Play Garden

The play garden at the rear of the nursery building is a generous size with large grassy areas and apparatus for children to continue their independent, exploratory play.

We have play vehicles like cars and trikes, a climbing structure, raised water and sand pits, and a wooden play den, providing children with endless opportunities for exploration and fun.

Children are supervised at all times when playing outside to ensure their safety, while allowing them to maintain independence.

The garden is fully secure, enclosed and not overlooked by another other properties, allowing the children to play freely.

Vegetable & Flower Garden

At the entrance of the nursery, we have another beautiful, spacious enclosed garden space completed with raised vegetable and flower beds.

Throughout the year, we get the children involved in planting, caring for and harvesting everything from flowers to carrots and even pumpkins in the autumn.

This hands-on time in nature gives the children a chance to learn responsibility, patience, and - of course - an understanding of where our food comes from.

Direct contact with soil and opportunities for helping with planting are also scientifically proven to boost mood! These multi-sensory activities have been found to reduce anxiety, blood pressure, heart rate and muscle tension!
